Tory spending plans

The Jarrow MP commented on the speech by Ed Balls, Labour’s Shadow Chancellor, showing that spending plans by the Tories will mean £70 billion of cuts to public spending if the Tories win the election in May.

Mr Hepburn said that the unprecedented and extreme scale of these spending cuts would pose a major risk to the National Health Service.

Stephen Hepburn MP said:

“Ed Balls has laid bare the grim reality of Tory plans for our country after the general election.

“Another Tory government would be disastrous for some of the vital front line services that hold society together."
