No sooner do I raise the threat to South Tyneside Hospital than we discover medical care is in danger across England!

Hands up if you think rail fares are too high and our trains are often uncomfortably overcrowded? OK, that's just about everyone.

I’ve always believed public transport should be in, well, public not private hands.

Stephen Hepburn MP for the Jarrow Constituency visited TSB Jarrow today in order to congratulate the staff on their community fund raising efforts.

We saw the essential goodness of Tynesiders in the Relay for Life in Jarrow's Monkton Stadium.

There’s absolutely no way I could get involved in the standing ovation for David Cameron as he delivered his final Prime Minister’s Questions.

New Tory Prime Minister Theresa May is David Cameron in a skirt clutching a handbag when his failures are her record.

The indecent haste with which the Tory and Ukip-dominated campaign to get Britain out of Europe admitted it was a mistake to claim £350m a week would be saved for the NHS broke all decency records.

Act in haste, repent at leisure is a good old piece of advice that has stood the test of time.  I hope people think of it when we vote today, Thursday 23 June, on the important decision of EU membership which will effect Tyneside, North East England and Great Britain for generations to come.

This Thursday our country will make a big decision that will affect the futures of our young people in the North East.

Born and bred in Jarrow and having always lived here, it isn't biased to say the North East is very special indeed. I know it to be true!

So another year, another Queen’s Speech made up of the worst kind of propaganda clichés scripted by this dreadful Tory Government.
